About
Kula Yoga Tucson was inspired by a woman I met nearly ten years ago in San Antonio Texas. I attended one of her free yoga classes held in the brewhouse of a local brewery. After the class I found myself conversing with total strangers over a refreshing glass of cold beer. That experience sparked something within me. It taught me that through selfless actions one person was able to provide a free holistic wellness modality while simultaneously bolstering local businesses and bringing the community together. I was in awe during those two hours and her idea stuck with me after all these years. I wish to carry on her tradition into our beautiful desert city. With the help of local Tucson businesses, I provide this free service with the overarching goal of connecting the body, mind, and community. I cannot wait to begin this adventure and I look forward to meeting, communing with, and shaking the hands of each and every one of you.

What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a relaxed, slow-paced style of yoga that involves holding poses for an extended period of time, 3-5 minutes. Yin Yoga increases your inner consciousness and bodily awareness while eliciting an energetic flow along the meridian lines in the body. This allows for more attention on the breath, thoughts, and body sensations. Yin Yoga is perfect for all ages and capabilities. This gentle style of yoga is easily modifiable to encompass exactly what every individual student requires in their practice. Yin Yoga is notorious for the utilization of props, i.e. bolsters, blankets, and blocks to facilitate and extend the pose. When used efficiently props assist with relaxation, balance, support, and posture. Join me in this loving, healing, and rejuvenating practice that will leave you feeling at peace and connected with all that is.
